MANAHAWKIN, N.J. -- The National Academic Squad has been released by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Randolph-Macon had a program record 13 players listed on the squad. To be honored, an athlete must have a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher through the first semester of the current academic year.

Anna Stribling (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) sees her name on the list for a fourth time, being one of 291 out of 1800 athletes to have that honor. Third time members include
Isabella McNulty (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian),
Anna Scheir (Fallston, Md./Fallston), and
Ashlyn White (Frederick, Md./Urbana). Seeing their name on the list for the second time are
Lynn Giesken (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) and
Cathryn Short (Henrico, Va./Saint Catherines). First time members include
Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School),
Breea Dresler (Yorktown, Va./Tabb),
Cali Kujawa (Hampton, Va./Kecoughtan),
Sarah Newman (Toano, Va./Walsingham Academy),
Caitlin Porter (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam),
Annie Pruitt (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), and
Hailey Swartzbaugh (Poquoson, Va./Poquoson).
Three division III academic awards remain to be announced – the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on February 19, the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and National Scholar-Athlete on February 26.
