SU would score two of the next three buckets, but a Pulley Jr. three pointer made the score 43-24 at the half.

That was as close as the lead got the rest of the way as RMC scored the next eight points to regain momentum. A pair of free throws and a layup by Joe Bachman (Wilmington, N.C./Greensboro Day) made the Yellow Jackets' lead reach 24 at 66-42 with 6:30 remaining.
