ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team fell in its regular season finale at home to Virginia Wesleyan by a 4-0 decision.

How it Happened
- In the first 25 minutes of the game, the Yellow Jackets defensive line held tough, facing a vicious attack from Virginia Wesleyan. Erin Morris (Manchester, N.H./Bishop Guertin) made two critical saves to start the game and keep the game tied at 0-0.
- The Marlins had a corner opportunity in the 27th minute and the ball hit Morris' hands near the post and found the back of the net. This own goal gave Virginia Wesleyan a 1-0 lead.
- Virginia Wesleyan took five more shots at goal and would not be able to double its lead, taking a slim 1-0 lead into halftime.
- The Marlins kept the pressure up and doubled its lead in the 57th minute, as Emma Shuey scored an unassisted goal.
- Virginia Wesleyan added two more goals in the 65th and 81st minute with goals by Shyenne Diaz and Lindsey Syms to take home a dominant 4-0 win on the road.
