ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team took the lead early in the first half, but Salisbury countered with an equalizer five minutes later, as those two goals would hold the entire game to end in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
- In the first 15 minutes, both teams came out firing, putting four shots on target with seven shots overall. Lora Bertram (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) was found by Lauren Brokaw (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) in the box and Bertram beat the goalkeeper for her sixth goal of the season, giving the Yellow Jackets a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.
- Salisbury answered back quickly in the 24th minute, as Ashley Pantano flicked a ball off her head to find Ava Wheeler to see both beat Erin Morris (Manchester, N.H./Bishop Guertin) to tie up the game at 1-1.
- In the final 21 minutes of the first half, both teams needed mass substitutes with the fast pace of play in the first 20 minutes. Result being only each team managing to get a shot on goal in the final moments of the half, as the score stayed at 1-1 at halftime.
- Randolph-Macon owned the pace of play for the majority of the second half, but Hayle Foreman kept the Sea Gulls in the game making four crucial saves to keep the score tied at 1-1. Morris had two impressive saves in the middle of the second half to keep Salisbury from taking the lead, as the game would end in a 1-1 draw.

- Salisbury had 20 shots in the game, compared to the 16 that Randolph-Macon tallied. The Sea Gulls put nine shots on frame to the Yellow Jackets eight in 90 minutes.
- The Yellow Jackets held a slim advantage in the corner opportunities with a four to three advantage.
