How it Happened:
- RMC jumped out to a 5-0 lead after their first two possessions after a Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) layup and a Will Coble (Greensboro, N.C./Davidson Day) three pointer to open the game. After the Eagles tied it at five, RMC regained the lead, surging to a 10-4 run to hold a 15-9 lead. The Yellow Jackets were able to push the lead to double digits following Coble's second three of the half, making the score 23-12. Daniel Mbangue (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) capped off his strong first half with a layup with 25 seconds to make the halftime lead 35-21 in RMC's favor.
- Lance Johnson (South Riding, Va./Freedom) knocked down a three to open the second half and make the lead 17. Bridgewater answered with a 10-2 run that cut the deficit back to nine. Will Coble halted the run with his third trey of the evening to bring the lead back to double figures. The Eagles continued to make contested shots to stay within striking distance. A few defensive stops and a pair of free throws by Margad Choijilsuren (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) and Keishawn Pulley Jr. helped seal the deal as RMC pulled out the 70-64 win.
