How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets pushed out in front with an 18th minute goal, as Stohr and Owens worked the ball back and forth to each other in the attacking half. Stohr found her chance and made it count to find the back of the net for RMCs first goal of the season.
- In the final 27 minutes of the first half, both teams had great looks at the goal, totalling six shots between both sides. Neither goalkeeper would falter, as the Lemon and Black took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- RMCs defensive line of Kelly Rogers, Charlotte Bradshaw, Grace Turney and Lily Alexander held tough for the second straight game. The Green Terrors offense forced five second half corners, totalling nine in the game. The Yellow Jacket defense minimized the danger of each corner by McDaniel to hold on the shutout.
- The net minder Abby Cook also made four huge saves in the latter half of the final moments to help RMC take home its first win of the season 1-0.
