ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph Macon women's soccer team fell short on the road Saturday afternoon to open up conference play, falling 2-0 to Roanoke after two second-half goals from the Maroons.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon found four shots in the first stanza, but was unable to gain the advantage at the midway break. Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was called on only one time in the first half, as the Yellow Jacket defense held tough in the first half.
- Roanoke found the first goal of the game as Morgan O'Neill called her own number and found the back of the net to give the Maroons the advantage in the 63rd minute.
- The Lemon and Black were trying to find an equalizer while Roanoke looked to double its lead. Rebecca Carr netted the Maroons second goal of the game less than three minutes after O'Neill's goal, thus putting the game away for the Maroons.
