FOREST, Va. – Randolph-Macon freshman attack Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was voted ODAC Rookie of the Year, one of five Yellow Jackets to be recognized, as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its postseason awards for women's lacrosse.
Senior defender Italia Carnazza (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI), sophomore midfielder Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) and sophomore attack Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) were named All-ODAC First Team. Junior attack Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) earned a spot on the All-ODAC Second Team.
Fowler appeared in all 20 games and started 16. She was fourth on the team with 38 goals and 48 points. Fowler scored multiple goals 13 times, including five in the season opener at Hood. She was named to the 2023 ODAC All-Tournament Team. Fowler had six goals in a trio of tournament games. She had six shots on goal and scored on all six in those three contests. Fowler had the tying and game-winning goals in the final three minutes of the quarterfinal victory at Lynchburg.
Carnazza started all 20 games for RMC. She paced the Yellow Jackets with 86 draw controls, the fourth-highest single-season total in program history. Carnazza had 12 draw controls at St. Mary's (Md.) and 11 against Lynchburg. She was second on the team with 15 caused turnovers. Carnazza had three caused turnovers in the ODAC quarterfinal victory at Lynchburg. She recorded a pair of assists during the season.
Mittelstadter played in all 20 contests with 19 starts. She was fifth on the team with 36 goals and 41 points. Mittelstadter scored multiple goals 10 times, including netting four goals in three contests. She was third on the club with 36 draw controls, fourth with 13 caused turnovers and sixth with 20 ground balls. Mittelstadter had a season-high seven draw controls against Shenandoah.
Lowery appeared in all 20 games with 18 starts. She led the team and was fourth in the ODAC with 79 points and 27 assists. Lowery was tops on the team and ninth in the conference with 52 goals. She was 11 for 15 on free position shots. Lowery scored multiple goals in 14 games. She registered five goals in a game three times, including the win at Lynchburg in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Championship. Lowery had multiple assists seven times, including four at Guilford.
Bartley started all 20 contests. She was second for the Yellow Jackets with 47 goals, 21 assists and 68 points. Bartley was 11th in the ODAC in goals, 10th in assists and 11th in points. She recorded multiple goals 13 times, including six in a win over Virginia Wesleyan in the first round of the ODAC Championship. Bartley had multiple assists five times, with four against Randolph.
Under head coach MK Geratowski, Randolph-Macon finished the season with 10 victories and posted a .500 record in conference play.
