Arruza Named Regional Coach of the Year, 10 All-Region Jackets

ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon head coach Pedro Arruza was named the Region 3 Coach of the Year by D3football.com for the first time in his career.

The Yellow Jackets had 10 players selected All-Region:
First Team
Wide Receiver David Wallis (Senior, Cedar Point, N.C./Croatan)
Tight End Brandon Woolridge (Senior, Fredericksburg, Va./James Monroe)
Center Matt Hale (Senior, Vinton, Va./William Byrd)
Offensive Tackle Nehemiah Nixon (Senior, Garner, N.C./Garner)
Defensive Tackle Wade Grubbs (Junior, Providence Forge, Va./New Kent)
Second Team
Quarterback Drew Campanale (Senior, Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury)
Running Back Nick Hale (Senior, Vinton, Va./William Byrd)
Kicker Kyle Ihle (Junior, Apex, N.C./Middle Creek)
Safety Cade Jones (Senior, Wilmington, N.C./Eugene Ashley)
Third Team
Linebacker Tony Skinner (Senior, Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend)

Arruza, in his 20th season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets, has guided RMC to a 13-0 mark and a berth in the semifinals of the NCAA Championship. He was named ODAC Coach of the Year for the sixth time and State Coach of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Richmond for a record-eighth time.

Randolph-Macon will host Cortland in the NCAA Semifinals on Saturday, Dec. 9, at noon. The game will be televised on ESPN+.
