– Randolph-Macon men's basketball knocked down a season-high 17 threes in a convincing 79-51 win over Mary Washington on Tuesday night.

How it Happened
- RMC's first four shots were all made threes to take an early 12-2 lead. They made seven of their first eight shots heading into the under 16-minute media timeout with a 19-4 lead against the fifth ranked defense in the country. Over the next four minutes, RMC continued the hot shooting including two threes from Will Coble (Charlotte, N.C./Davidson Day) to help extend the lead to 28-12 with just under nine minutes gone by. UMW went on an 8-3 run over the next 50 seconds but RMC held off the Eagles' comeback attempt by going on their own 8-0 run. Both teams traded buckets to end the half but RMC held a 48-33 lead after their most explosive half of the season.
- Just like the first half, RMC hit three threes to begin the second, opening a 57-35 advantage. The Yellow Jackets continued to pull away from UMW, opening their largest lead at 73-44 with 8:10 to go in the game after Vincent Payne (Frederick, Md./St. Maria Goretti) hit his second triple of the game. Neither team scored for the next five minutes before UMW broke the drought. Both teams scored six points over the final three minutes as RMC won 79-51.
Inside the Numbers
- Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) notched career-highs of 24 points and nine assists. He shot 9-14 from the field and 5-8 from three.
- The Yellow Jackets breezed past their season-high for threes in a game with 17 on the night, including hitting 11 in the first half alone. It marks the most threes made in a single game since February 12, 2022 when RMC hit 20 against Shenandoah.
- Lance Johnson (South Riding, Va./Freedom) totaled 12 points on four threes. He shot 4-6 from deep.
- Will Coble was the third RMC player in double-figures with 12 points on four threes. He shot 50% from beyond the arc.
- Joe Bachman (Wilmington, N.C./Greensboro Day) filled the stat sheet with eight points on eight made free throws, five rebounds, and four steals.
- RMC's 20 assists were the most in a game since February 11, 2023 when they had 21 against Roanoke.
- Randolph-Macon came into the game sixth in the nation in three point percentage defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 24.1% from deep. Mary Washington shot 0-7 from three.
