– A first half surge lifted RMC men's basketball over Penn State Harrisburg 82-63 in the championship of the 2023 RMC Coaches Tournament.

How it Happened
- Vincent Payne (Frederick, Md./St. Maria Goretti) hit back-to-back threes to open the scoring for RMC. Daniel Mbangue (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) scored two buckets to complete the 10-0 run and make it 10-2 with 15:17 remaining in the first. RMC kept their lead, holding a 19-11 advantage before a 21-4 run for the Yellow Jackets blew the game open to a 40-15 lead, and took a 40-17 lead to halftime.
- The Lions began the second half shooting the ball at a high clip, but RMC kept pace, keeping the lead around 20 points for the entirety of the second half. The largest lead of the game came at the 2:33 mark as Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) made it 79-53. PSH closed the game on a 10-3 run as RMC won 82-63.
Inside the Numbers
- Daniel Mbangue finished with 15 points, a season-high 13 rebounds and seven assists on his way to tournament MVP.
- Jabril Robinson led the way with 16 points. He also finished with seven boards and four assists.
- Keishawn Pulley Jr. (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's School) was the third RMC player with double-digit points, finishing with 11.
- RMC shot 47.5% from the field and 39.1% from deep.
- The Yellow Jackets outrebounded the Lions 45-26 for a rebound differential of +81 over the past four games.
- The 19 assists for RMC marks the fourth time in the last six games with 19+ assists.
- Lance Johnson (South Riding, Va./Freedom) was also named to the all-tournament team.
