ASHLAND, Va. – After its thrilling 39-36 win at Johns Hopkins in the third round of the NCAA Playoffs, Randolph-Macon has learned that it will host Cortland in the semifinals.

The Yellow Jackets and the Red Dragons will meet on Saturday, Dec. 9, at noon on Day Field with both teams looking for their first trip to the Stagg Bowl.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth 12 and under as well as students of the participating schools. Tickets must be purchased in advance through Ticket Spicket.

RMC improved to 13-0 for the first time in program history. Cortland (12-1) advanced to the semifinals with a 58-41 third-round victory at Alma.

This will be the second meeting for the Yellow Jackets and the Red Dragons. RMC defeated Cortland 35-28 in Ashland in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Championship.

The teams have one common opponent this season: Ithaca. Cortland won 38-28 at Ithaca in the regular-season finale. RMC blanked the Bombers 46-0 in the second round of the NCAA Championship.

The game is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+.
