ASHLAND, Va. – The Yellow Jackets outgained Bridgewater 422-to-55 to open Old Dominion Athletic Conference Play with a 46-6 victory on Family Weekend.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon kicked off the scoring with a nine play drive on its second drive of the game. Jake Mulhern (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) connected with Griffin Johnson (Belhaven, N.C./Northside Pinetown) on third and goal, giving the Yellow Jackets the 7-0 lead.
- The Lemon and Black had the ball at the quarter change and doubled their lead to 14-0 with 12:53 left in the second quarter. Detric Brown (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) took a direct snap and cashed in on a six yard scamper.
- Bridgewater forced the first turnover of the game with 10:27 left until halftime. Munashe Gwashavanhu jumped the passing lane of Mulhern for an interception and returned the ball down to the Randolph-Macon 15 yardline.
- The Eagles only needed three plays to score their first points of the game, as Parker Burke found Zain Queen in the endzone for a eight yard touchdown pass. BC missed the extra point and RMC held a 14-6 lead with 9:08 left in the opening half.
- On the ensuing drive, Randolph-Macon ran the ball seven straight plays to march 63 yards down to the Bridgewater 14 yardline. On third down, Mulhern found Tristan Overbay (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt) on a well designed screen for a 14 yard touchdown. The Lemon and Black increased their lead to 21-6 with 4:32 left in the half.
- Neither team could find much offense for the remainder of the half and RMC took a 21-6 lead into the halftime break.
- The Yellow Jackets opened the second half with a smooth 13 play drive, capped off by a Mulhern 18 yard touchdown pass to Malakiah Moore (Richmond, Va./Varina). The drive was led by Mitchell Johnson (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) running the ball to set up the touchdown pass. Randolph-Macon used the touchdown to boost its lead to 27-6, as the extra point was blocked by the Eagles.
- Bridgewater turned the ball over on the next drive of the game, as Burke was under a heavy rush and fumbled the ball deep in BC territory. Gabe Semidey (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) pounced on the ball, setting up RMC on the 10 yard line of the Eagles with 5:34 in the third quarter.
- The Yellow Jackets only needed four plays and Brown rushed for his second touchdown of the game from a yard out. RMC made the extra point and the lead grew to 34-6 with 3:49 left in the third quarter.
- The Eagles were forced to turn the ball over on downs at the end of the third and a 34-6 lead would hold for RMC going into the final 15 minutes.
- In the final quarter, Brown scored his third rushing touchdown of the game, capping off a 10 play drive. RMC failed on the extra point and with 8:58 left in the game would lead 40-6.
- Randolph-Macon added one more score right after the two minute warning, as Overbay rushed in for his second overall touchdown of the game from two yards out. Bridgewater blocked the extra point and the lead for the Lemon and Black sat at 46-6.
- The Lemon and Black played through the rough weather and began conference play with a dominant 46-6 victory over Bridgewater.
