WINCHESTER, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team earned a 1-1 tie with Shenandoah Saturday afternoon on the road. Shenandoah opened the scoring in the seventh minute before
Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) found the back of the net just two minutes later to earn the result.

How it Happened
- Shenandoah broke the ice early with a goal by Kayla Jenkins in the seventh minute to put the Hornets ahead 1-0.
- Randolph-Macon answered back just two minutes later, as Owens netted her sixth goal of the season and Lauren Brokaw (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) picked up her first assist to tie up the game at 1-1.
- The second half was a defensive battle, as neither team was able to take the advantage on the scoreboard. Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) made two back-to-back saves late in the match to help the Yellow Jackets preserve the 1-1 draw.

- Randolph-Macon outshot the Hornets 17-to-10. The Yellow Jackets put nine on frame to Shenandoah's five.
- The Hornets had seven corner opportunities, as Randolph-Macon only had one corner opportunity.
