VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team fell short on the road Wednesday night, falling 3-0 to Virginia Beach. The Marlins stand at the top of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference table, remaining unbeaten in conference play.

How it Happened
- Virginia Wesleyan took the lead early in the first half on an unassisted goal by Alexis Miller to give the Marlins a 1-0 lead.
- The Yellow Jackets managed to put only one shot on frame in the first 45 minutes, playing defense the majority of the first half. The Marlins had plenty more opportunities, but only took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
- Randolph-Macon opened up the second half with more shots than VWU. Julia Marrone put the ball in the net for Virginia Wesleyan on their first shot of the second half to double the lead to 2-0.
- Megan Setlak netted her first goal of the season for the Marlins in the 80th minute, on a goal that was assisted by Tori Green to put the game away with a 3-0 win.
- The Lemon and Black had limited chances in the attacking half for the majority of the match putting less than five shots on goal.
Inside the Numbers
- Virginia Wesleyan outshot the Yellow Jackets 22-to-8. The Marlins put seven on frame to RMC's four.
- The Marlins had six corner opportunities, as Randolph-Macon didn't record one.
- Abby Cook (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) made three saves in 42 minutes and Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) made one save in 47 minutes.
