How it Happened
- RMC survived a Marlins penalty corner early in the first and just a few minutes later, cashed in on their first one of the night, as Isabella McNulty (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) took a dish from Anna Stribling (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) to put the Yellow Jackets up one.
- RMC continued the pressure they had generated in the first frame and used it early in the second. Emma Landis extended the RMC with a pair of goals in two minutes to make the score 3-0 in Randolph-Macon's favor.
- VWU turned up some pressure in the third quarter, totaling four penalty corners and six shots but couldn't generate a goal as Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) made five saves to keep the shutout going.
- Both teams generated chances in the fourth quarter but neither team scored, giving RMC a 3-0 win.
