How it Happened
- RMC scored on their first penalty corner of the night off a great pass by Anna Scheir (Fallston, Md./Fallston) to set up Anna Stribling (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) for the goal. On their second corner, RMC was awarded a penalty stroke and Ashlyn White (Frederick, Md./Urbana) didn't miss, giving RMC an early 2-0 lead.
- Stribling cashed in on her second goal of the game halfway through the second frame on a diving play in front of the cage. Ashln White once again kept pace with her second score of the game on a scrum in front of the cage, taking a quick pass from Alaina McCoy (Fredericksburg, Va./Stafford) to put the Yellow Jackets up by four before the break.
- White once again was awarded a penalty stroke to give her a hat trick on the night, the first of her career. RMC continued to put pressure on the Vixens but couldn't add another goal before the fourth.
- Maggie Muldoon (Prince Frederick, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) took a pass from Llana Thach (Henrico, Va./Glen Allen) right in front of the goal to notch the sixth goal of the game for RMC early in the fourth. With two minutes to go, Mia Kuhnle (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) scored on an aerial off a corner to extend the lead to seven.
Inside the Numbers
- Ashlyn White's hat trick was the first of her career, giving her four goals on the season.
- Anna Stribling's two first half goals gives her four on the year to push her point total to 14, good for second on the team.
- Mia Kuhnle's goal late in the fourth is her fifth of the season and first since Sept. 27.
- Maggie Muldoon scored her third goal of her career. All three goals have come in the last five games.
- Alaina McCoy's assist gives her nine this season with 21 points, continuing her strong year.
- RMC had 10 corners to SBC's zero and outshot the Vixens 17-0 overall and 14-0 on goal.
