How it Happened
- RMC began the first quarter by scoring on their second penalty corner of the frame with a deflection by Lynn Giesken (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) off a shot by Ashlyn White (Frederick, Md./Urbana). Less than a minute later, RMC scored again with a penalty stroke by White, giving her three points in the first quarter.
- Cali Kujawa (Hampton, Va./Kecoughtan) kept the momentum to begin the second, tallying her fourth goal of the year to make the score 3-0. Kujawa then assisted on the next goal, feeding Llana Thach (Henrico, Va./Glen Allen) to push the lead out to four heading into the half.
- Isabella McNulty (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) scored the fifth and final goal for RMC late in the third quarter as the Yellow Jackets cashed in on a penalty corner.
- With 26 seconds left, Cedar Crest got on the board following a penalty corner to erase the shutout, but RMC cruised to a 5-1 win.
Inside the Numbers
- Ashlyn White totaled three points, assisting on the first goal of the day and then scored the second goal of the game for a three-point day.
- Cali Kujawa had a goal and an assist as well for her fourth goal and second assist on the year. She is now second on the team with 10 points.
- Lynn Giesken scored her second goal of the season with her first quarter tally.
- Isabella McNulty added to her goal total for the year, scoring her fourth on the season.
- Llana Thach's second quarter goal was her first of the season and second of her career.
- Alaina McCoy picked up assist number eight on the year. She is tied for the ODAC lead in assists with eight. She is fifth in points with 20.
