ARLINGTON, Va. – Three members of the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse program have received All-State accolades through the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).
Freshman attack Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was voted Co-Rookie of the Year. Senior midfielder Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) was selected All-State First Team, while senior defender Italia Carnazza (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI) was tabbed All-State Second Team.
Lowery was also ODAC Rookie of the Year. She was second on the Yellow Jackets and fifth in the ODAC with 51 goals. She topped the team and was sixth in the conference with 72 points. Lowery was second for R-MC and eighth in the league with 21 assists. She was second on the squad and 10th in the ODAC with 57 draw controls.
Henderson was an All-Region Second Team selection by the IWLCA as well as All-ODAC First Team. She was a 2022 IWLCA Senior All-Star for Division III. Henderson started all 19 games for the Yellow Jackets this season. She topped the team and was fifth in the conference with 82 draw controls. Henderson tied for the team lead with 24 caused turnovers, the eighth-highest total in the ODAC. She had 30 goals and four assists for 34 points.
Carnazza was All-Region Second Team and All-ODAC First Team. She paced R-MC and was seventh in the ODAC with 42 ground balls. Carnazza tied for the top spot on the team with 24 caused turnovers, the eighth-highest total in the league. She had 28 draw controls and a pair of assists.
