Box Score MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Junior Kayla Ross (Gambrills, Md./Arundel) and sophomore Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) each recorded three goals as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team dropped a 20-9 decision at eighth-ranked Messiah on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- After the Falcons netted the first goal, senior McKenzie Hynson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) and freshman Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had consecutive goals as the Yellow Jackets led 2-1 four minutes into the contest. Messiah would score the next six goals before Ross ended the first quarter with a score with 25 seconds remaining as the Falcons led 7-3.
- Defense ruled the second period. Bartley had a goal sandwiched between two MU scores as the home team took a 9-4 advantage at halftime.
- Bartley, Ross and junior Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) all scored in the third quarter, but Messiah tallied eight and led 17-7 heading to the final period.
- Ross and Bartley had goals to start the fourth quarter before the Falcons netted the final three goals of the game to secure the 20-9 victory.

- R-MC scored its nine goals on 16 shots and on 13 shots on goal.
- Senior Caraline Cypher (Havre de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace) recorded 11 saves, including seven in the second quarter.
- Senior Italia Carnazza (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI) paced the Yellow Jackets with five ground balls, while Cypher snagged four.
- Carnazza also led R-MC with four caused turnovers, while senior Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) forced three.
