Box Score SALEM, Va. – Junior forward Emma Landis (Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon) scored in the final period as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision at first-place Roanoke in a defensive ODAC battle.

How it Happened:
- The Yellow Jacket defense held the Maroons to one goal in the first period and none in the second to trail 1-0 at halftime. R-MC had two shots in the first half compared to four for RC.
- The Maroons tallied a pair of goals in the third quarter to take a 3-0 advantage.
- Landis got R-MC on the board with her goal in the 52nd minute to make it 3-1. It was her fourth goal of the season to give her nine points.
By The Numbers:
- Sophomore forward Mia Kuhnle (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) had two shots for the Yellow Jackets.
- Freshman goalkeeper Cathryn Short (Henrico, Va./Saint Catherine's) recorded one save for the visitors.
- R-MC had two shots in the second half compared to three by RC.
- The Yellow Jackets had two penalty corners in the second half, while the Maroons had one.
