Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – The Yellow Jackets outscored the Red Devils 28-7 over the final three periods as the No. 17 Randolph-Macon football team posted a 31-21 victory at Dickinson on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
- After DC was forced to punt on its first possession, R-MC drove to the DC 21, where senior Chris Vidal (Wake Forest, N.C./Wake Forest) hit a 39-yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead four minutes into the contest.
- The Red Devils found the end zone on their next two possessions to take a 14-3 with 5:38 left in the first quarter.
- Late in the second period, the Yellow Jackets put together a 10-play, 63-yard scoring drive as junior quarterback Presley Egbers (Clifton, Va./Centreville) found senior wide receiver Joey Hunt (Olney, Md./Sherwood) on a five-yard TD pass with nine seconds left as the visitors trailed 14-10 at halftime.
- R-MC took the second-half kickoff and drove 84 yards in 12 plays, with sophomore wide receiver Holden Hodge (Elizabeth City, N.C./Northeastern) running it in from three yards out as the Yellow Jackets reclaimed the lead at 17-14.
- The Yellow Jacket defense held DC to three-and-out on the subsequent drive and R-MC needed nine play to go 74 yards to reach the end zone again. Junior running back Nick Hale (Vinton, Va./William Byrd) scored from 18 yards out as the Yellow Jackets went up 24-14 late in the third period.
- The Red Devils scored early in the final quarter to pull within three at 24-21.
- R-MC responded with another scoring drive. The first six plays were rushes and moved the Yellow Jackets into the Red Zone. Hale finished the drive with a one-yard TD run as R-MC took a 31-21 lead with 5:33 remaining.
- DC drove to its 48, but the R-MC defense stopped the home team on downs. The Yellow Jackets took over near midfield with 3:43 left, picked up a first down and were able to run out the clock and claim the victory.
By The Numbers:
- R-MC amassed 415 yards of total offense, with 252 on the ground. Senior Justin DeLeon (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) carried 17 times for a career-high 123 yards, his second 100-yard rushing game.
- Egbers completed 14 of 21 passes for 163 yards and one TD. Hunt had four catches for 64 yards and one score.
- The Yellow Jackets held the ball for more than 40 minutes, while the Red Devils had it for less than 20 minutes.
- Sophomore DB Dominic Gray (Richmond, Va./L.C. Bird) topped the defense with six tackles.
For The Record:
- The Yellow Jackets extended their win streak to eight over the past three seasons.
- Pedro Arruza earned his 105th career win, tying him with Ted Keller for the most in program history.
- R-MC is 5-0 all-time against Dickinson.
