Box Score (ASHLAND, Va.) – Round I of the back-to-back games between Randolph-Macon and Roanoke went to the Maroons in the regular season finale. The two will meet again on Tuesday in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals in Roanoke.

How It Happened
- As expected a defensive battle broke out with offensive chances few and far between. Roanoke managed the only two shots in the first quarter, but Gatlin Snyder (Sr., Powhatan, Va. / Powhatan) made saves on both attempts.
- Roanoke managed to break through early in the second quarter as Emilee Wooten took the pass from Lindsey Keyes and scored 38 seconds in.
- Immediately after Randolph-Macon attempted to equalize and had some great opportunities. Maria-Teresa Ambrogi-Torres (Sr., Richmond, Va. / Trinity) came back and had a shot saved just seconds after the Maroons goal and another shot a few minutes later went high. Alaina McCoy (Fr., Fredericksburg, Va. / Stafford) had a pair of shots also saved before Lindsay Moore (Sr., Ashland, Va. / Hanover) closed the frame with a shot that would have gone in if it wasn't for a defensive save by Madison Filson.
- From there, both teams with back and forth with chances on the attack. Most of them came from the Maroons as they tried to extend the lead, but were thwarted by Snyder.
Inside The Numbers
- Snyder finished the game with 14 saves and faced 17 shots all day. Most came in the fourth quarter as she had eight.
- Corners heavily favored the Maroons by an 8-3 margin.

The Yellow Jackets and Maroons will square off on Tuesday at Roanoke. It will be the fifth consecutive year they have met each other in the playoffs.
