PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The R-MC women's volleyball team closed out the Carnegie Mellon Invitational with a 3-0 win over Bethany. The Yellow Jackets finished the Invitational with a 3-1 record and improved to 10-4 on the season with wins over Bethany, John Carroll and Mount Union.

Sophomore Mariah Clark (Stuarts Draft, Va./ Rivershead) led the team kills with 15 and points with 18. She recorded seven digs, and was second on the team with four blocks. Clark had a kill percentage of .333.

Freshman Kai Cunningham (Virginia Beach, Va./ Kempsville) made her presence known to Bethany as she had five blocks. She was also perfect on kill percentage with three kills on three total attacks.

Continuing in her defensive role, junior Samantha Sallade (Newport News, Va./ Peninsula Catholic) again led the team in digs, this time with 19.

Randolph-Macon won the first two games by close margins winning 25-22 and 25-20. R-MC would go on to take control in the third set, winning the match with a 25-13 score.

The Yellow Jackets will be back on the court on Tuesday, September 27 when travel to Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m. They will be back in Crenshaw Gym  on October 14 versus Bridgewater.
