Box Score ASHLAND, Va. - Junior Erin Quinn (Morrisville, NC./Cardinal Gibbons) delivered 37 assists and had 10 digs to lead the top-seeded Randolph-Macon volleyball team past fourth-seeded Bridgewater 3-0 Friday evening in the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament at Crenshaw Gymnasium.
The Yellow Jackets (22-7) posted set wins of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-16 to advance to Saturday's ODAC Championship Game at 3 p.m. in Crenshaw Gym against the winner of the second semifinal match between second-seeded Washington and Lee and third-seeded Lynchburg.
The Eagles finish their season at 21-10.
In the first set, BC jumped out to a quick 4-2 lead before R-MC scored three straight points to take a 5-4 edge. The Yellow Jackets would not trail the rest of Game 1. R-MC led 9-8 before tallying four straight points to extend its lead to 13-8. The Eagles narrow the gap to 17-15 before the Yellow Jackets scored eight of the final 11 points to claim a 25-18 victory in the initial set.
The Yellow Jackets dominated early in the second set, building leads of 4-0, 7-1 and 14-2 on their way to a 25-15 win.
R-MC started strong again in Set 3, constructing leads of 3-0, 5-1 and 7-2. The Yellow Jackets were up 15-10 before scoring five straight to push the advantage to 20-10 on their way to a 25-16 match-clinching victory.
Freshman Miranda Hall (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) led all players with 16 kills and 36 total attacks. Sophomore Mariah Clark (Stuarts Draft, Va./Riverheads) had 12 kills and 30 total attacks for the Yellow Jackets.
Junior Samantha Sallade (Newport News, Va./Peninsula Catholic) had 11 digs and three assists for the victors.
Junior Colleen Beaver (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) had five blocks and three kills for R-MC.
