BETHANY, W.Va. – Sophomore Victoria Cappadora (Manchester, MD / Manchester Valley) scored the game's lone goal as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team defeated Bethany College Sunday morning.

Cappadora notched the goal in the 50th minute.

Junior Katiee Nicholas (Virginia Beach, VA / Tallwood) led the Yellow Jackets (2-1) in shots with three, two of which were on goal. Junior Skyler Seligman (Norfolk, VA/ Granby) and senior Mackenzie Turner (Virginia Beach, VA / Tallwood) recorded two shots.

The Bison (2-1) held a 12-9 advantage in shots over the Yellow Jackets.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Stanley (Bumpass, VA / Louisa County) recorded seven saves for R-MC to post the team's second shutout of the season.

The Yellow Jackets return home on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. against Frostburg State.
