LEXINGTON, Va. – Senior Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, Va. / Nansemond River) recorded 10 kills and 17 digs as the Randolph-Macon volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by No. 4 Emory on the campus of Washington and Lee University Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles (15-2) pulled out a 25-22 win in the first set and claimed the second and third sets, 25-17 and 25-14 respectively.

Senior Riley Martin (Crozet, Va. / Western Albemarle) and sophomore Erin Quinn (Morrisville, NC / Cardinal Gibbons) both tallied 13 assists for the Yellow Jackets (13-3).

Martin added two service aces.

Sophomore Samantha Sallade (Newport News, Va. / Peninsula Catholic) paced R-MC with 22 digs.

Freshman Mariah Clark (Stuarts Draft, Va. / Riverhead) led the Yellow Jackets in defense with one solo and one assisted block.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on the road on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7p.m. for an ODAC contest against Hollins.
