FREDERICKSBURG, Va.— Seniors Katie Rossberg (Crozet, VA / Wester Albemarle) and Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, VA / Nansemond River) tallied 16 and 14 kills, respectively as the Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team came from behind to defeat Mary Washington 3-2 Wednesday evening.

The Yellow Jackets (2-0) dropped the first set 25-22 before claiming the second and third set 25-16 and 25-20, respectively. The Eagles (0-1) took the fourth set 25-21. R-MC won the deciding set 15-9.

Sophomore Erin Quinn (Morrisville, NC / Cardinal Gibbons) registered 22 assists and senior Riley Martin (Crozet, VA / Western Albemarle) added 19 assists and two service aces for R-MC.

With five total blocks, sophomore Colleen Beaver (Fredericksburg, VA / Massaponax) led the Yellow Jackets. Senior Addie Cooper added three solo and one assisted blocks.

Sophomore Samantha Sallade (Newport News, VA / Peninsula Catholic) paced R-MC with 20 digs.

The Yellow Jackets will play four matches this weekend at the Virginia Wesleyan College Tournament. R-MC will face Wartburg at 3 p.m. and Misericordia at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 before meeting Rivier at 10 a.m. and FDU-Florham at noon on Saturday, Sept. 5.
