Box Score Roanoke, Va. - Freshman Alicia Hsieh (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) recorded three goals and two assists, one of 11 Yellow Jackets to score, as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team handled Hollins 20-4 Friday afternoon at Moody Field.
R-MC (5-2, 2-0 ODAC) tallied the games first five goals as the Yellow Jackets led 5-0 ten minutes into the contest. Hollins (0-5, 0-2 ODAC) had two of the next three goals before the visitors registered seven straight scores to take a 13-2 lead. Home Hollins had a goal late to trail 13-3 at intermission. Hsieh had three goals and one assist in the first period.
The Yellow Jackets netted the first seven goals of the second period to lead 20-3 before Hollins had the final goal with 13 seconds left to make the final 20-4.
R-MC had four players with two goals and two assists: senior Betsy Hebert (Lutherville, Md./Roland Park Country), junior Jenelle Whitman (Silver Spring,Md./Springbrook), sophomore Kelly Barney (Norfolk, Va./Bishop Sullivan) and freshman Alex Lightfoot (Fairfax, Va./Woodson). Sophomore Laney Dee (Norfolk, Va./Bishop Sullivan) and freshman Frankie Willing (Salisbury, Md./Worcester) both had two goals and one assist. Sophomore Jessie Cornbrooks (Virginia Beach, Va./Bishop Sullivan) also had a pair of goals for the Yellow Jackets.
Sophomores Jamie Langbein (Brookville, Md./Sherwood) and Allie Walker (Towson, Md./Mercy) each had one save in 30 minutes for R-MC.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Thursday, March 26 in a rescheduled game at Greensboro at 3 p.m.
