BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Senior Carrie Jacobs (Orange, Va./Orange County) tallied a goal and an assist as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team dropped a 3-2 ODAC contest at Bridgewater Wednesday evening.

The Eagles (11-7, 7-1 ODAC) started the scoring with a goal in the 19th minute before Jacobs assisted senior Catherine Pricone (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee) with the tying goal in the 29th minute as the match stood 1-1 at the half.

BC scored the first two goals of the second half before Jacobs cut the margin to one on an assist by freshman Victoria Cappadora (Manchester, Va.) in the 58th minute to make the final 3-2.

Jacobs and Pricone both led the Yellow Jackets (6-11, 5-3 ODAC) with four shots. All four of Jacobs' shots were on goal.

Junior Shannon McMurray (Stafford, Va.) had six saves in 41 minutes, while freshman Kelsey Stanley (Bumpass, Va.) registered four saves in 29 minutes.

The Yellow Jackets will host an ODAC quarterfinal match on Saturday. No. 4 R-MC will entertain No. 5 Washington and Lee at a time to be determined.
