Box Score SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sophomore midfielder Samantha Tyler (Colonial Heights, Va./Colonial Heights) scored less than two minutes into overtime to lift Randolph-Macon over Sweet Briar 2-1 Saturday in ODAC women's soccer.
Tyler scored on a header with an assist from junior defender Jen LaBarge (Gambrills, Md./South River), her second of the contest. Labarge fed sophomore forward Katherine Schwalen (Currituck, N.C./Currituck County) late in the first half to knot the score at 1.
The Yellow Jackets (4-5, 2-2) outshot the Vixens (2-3-1, 0-3) 24-5, including 13-3 for shots on goal. Sophomore forward Bridget Panas (Goochland, Va./Goochland) led R-MC with five shots, including three shots on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Blanco (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) registered a pair of saves for the Jackets.
R-MC returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 1, with a 4 p.m. ODAC contest at Bridgewater.
