Box Score ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.—The Randolph-Macon field hockey team fell this afternoon 3-2 after taking St. Mary's (MD) into overtime.
Catherine Pricone (Arlington, VA/Washington-Lee) scored the first goal of the game to give the Jackets the early lead. Pricone's goal was assisted by senior Lauren Seal (Orange, VA/Orange County) who finished the day with a team-high 5 shots, 3 SOG.
R-MC held the 1-0 lead through the first period until the Seahawks offense tied the game going into the half. Junior Carrie Jacobs (Orange, VA/Orange County) scored the second goal in the 48th minute (unassisted) off the far left post. Jacobs had 3 shots on the day.
With six minutes left in the match, St. Mary's tied the game for a second time to take the Jackets into overtime. Ultimately the Seahawks would prevail.
