ASHLAND, Va.—Randolph-Macon set the tone early with the first goal of the game, only to slip to No. 6 Christopher Newport Sunday afternoon.

Junior Catherine Pricone (Arlington, VA/Washington-Lee) scored the first goal of the day 6:30 minutes into the game, giving the Jackets the 1-0 lead. Her goal was assisted by Carrie Jacobs (Orange, VA/Orange County) who finished with 2 shots.  The Captains (9-0, 0-0 CAC) followed-up with three goals going into the half.

Trailing 5-1 in the second period, Jackets' sophomore Kali Carroll (Earlysville, VA/Albemarle) recorded R-MC's second goal (unassisted).

Senior Olivia Newman (Orange, VA/Orange County) had a team high 3 shots, 2 on-goal. Goal keeper Steph Talley (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Regional) finished the day with 8 saves.

Randolph-Macon (3-4, 0-0 ODAC) travels to Maryland Thursday 26 to take on St. Mary's (MD) at 4:00 PM.
