Box Score RADNOR, Pa. – Junior Chris Hamilton (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) registered a career-high 23 points off the bench, but fourth-ranked Cabrini closed the game on a 13-4 run to claim a 98-91 victory over Randolph-Macon in men's basketball action Wednesday evening at Nerney Field House.
Hamilton went 8 for 13 from the floor, including 5 for 9 on three-pointers. He was also 2 for 2 from the free throw line.
Junior Marcus Badger (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) netted 18 points in his homecoming for the Yellow Jackets (4-4). Junior Connor Sullivan (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day School) added 12 points for R-MC.
After scoring the first bucket of the contest, the Yellow Jackets fell behind 18-4 five minutes into the contest. Hamilton hit a three-pointer at the buzzer as R-MC tied the game at 44-44 at intermission. Hamilton had 16 points in the first frame.
R-MC stayed hot early in the second stanza, building a 56-49 advantage with 16:10 to go. The Cavaliers (9-0) put together a 25-13 spurt to take a 74-69 lead just over nine minutes remaining. Badger hit a pair of free throws with 1:42 left to give the Yellow Jackets an 87-85 edge. Cabrini finished the game on a 13-4 run to secure the victory.
Aaron Walton-Moss led all scorers with 40 points in 40 minutes for the Cavaliers.
R-MC returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 3 p.m. against Birmingham Southern in the first round of the Coaches Classic sponsored by Kay Jewelers.
