Biography

2011-12 Stats

As a Senior: Marcus started 30 of the Yellow Jackets 31 games this season and led the team in minutes per game averaging 24.6.  Marcus led the team and ODAC in assists with 162 as well as finishing first in the ODAC in assists per game at 5.2.  Marcus led the team in steals with 50 and led the ODAC with 31.  He also led the ODAC in assists to turnover ratio averaging 2.49 assists to every turnover.  Marcus finished the season with a career-high 162 assists and 290 points.  Marcus was named to the Second Team All-Region and was also tabbed Second Team All-District and First Team All-State.  Badger was also awarded the George P. Compton award by Randolph-Macon which recognizes a senior with outstanding academic and athletic achievements.  He led the ODAC and was 26th in the nation in assists per game. 

As a Junior: Marcus started all 27 games for the Yellow Jackets averaging 25.3 minutes per game ... Marcus led the team in assists finishing the season with 97 and scored 240 points ... Marcus scored a season-high 18 points against Cabrini (12/18) ... Marcus also led the team in steals, finishing the season with 43 ... Marcus was named to the Third Team All-ODAC this season ... He finished 2nd in the ODAC in assist/TO ratio (2.2) ... third in the ODAC in assists per game (3.6) ... and Sixth in the ODAC in steals per game (1.6) ... Marcus also won ODAC player of the week the week of Dec. 30th and was named MVP of the RMC Coaches Classic.

As a Sophmore: Named to Hoopsville National Invitational All-Tournament Team ... dished out six assists against St. Mary's and Ferrum ... season-high 10 points at Ferrum.

As a Freshman: Marcus started all 28 games for the Yellow Jackets averaging 21.2 minutes per game … He ended the season with 123 points and 99 assist, recorded 27 steals and pulled in 54 rebounds … He averaged 3.5 assists per game and 4.4 points … Marcus scored a career high 14 points against Washington and Lee (2/4).

Personal … Earned three varsity letters at Plymouth-Meeting … Led his team to a state Final Four appearance his sophomore and senior seasons and a District One Runner Up and State Championship Title his junior season … Named Third Team All-League … Awarded the Mark Combs Memorial Scholarship and was a member of the National Honor Society … Marcus intends to major in Business.
