ASHLAND, Va.—The Randolph-Macon field hockey team advances to 5-5, 3-0 ODAC following their 3-1 win over conference opponent Roanoke College this afternoon on Family Weekend.  

Carrie Jacobs (Orange, VA / Orange County) landed the first goal of the day 2 minutes into the game to ignite the Yellow Jackets. Jacobs finished the day with 4 shots, 2 SOG.

The Maroons (2-6, 1-1 ODAC) responded in the 20th minute to tie the game going into the half. Senior Lauren Seal (Orange, VA / Orange County) gave the Jackets some insurance as she scored the second R-MC goal in the 50th minute (3 shots). The final goal of the day was recorded by freshman Taylor Loomis (Mechanicsville, VA / Lee-Davis) (61:08) to lock-up the 3-1 win. Her goal was assisted by Jacobs.

Keeper Steph Talley (Bordentown, NJ / Bordentown Regional) received the win this afternoon with 10 saves.

The Jackets travel to Virginia Wesleyan Sunday, October 6 for a 3:00 PM conference match.
