Box Score ASHLAND, VA--- Randolph-Macon defeated Randolph College, 5-0 Saturday afternoon.  The women improved to 5-2-1, 3-0 in conference play, while the WildCats fell to 3-4, 0-3 in the ODAC.
The Yellow Jackets have now won three straight, all conference contests and sit atop the ODAC standings at 3-0.  R-MC is off to its best conference start in 12 years, dating back to 1999 when the Yellow Jackets opened ODAC-play 4-0.
Erin Hauser got the women out to an early lead when she scored off a give-and-go with Amanda Nelms, for her seventh goal of the year just over three minutes into play.  Ten minutes later, Hauser found the back of the net again as she beat the lone defender one-on-one on the right side of the box to give R-MC a two goal lead heading into the half.  She is now tied for the conference-lead in goals with eight and sits second in points with 20.
Jen LaBarge opened the second half scoring at the 64:54 mark when she beat the keeper for her second goal of the season.  Just five minutes later, she scored again on a direct kick barely outside the box.  In the 74th minute, Emily Hall lofted a ball over the keeper on a free kick from 25 yards out.
Hauser led the Yellow Jackets with five shots, all on goal and two scores on the day.  LaBarge added two goals of her own and three shots on frame.  Amanda Nelms dished out her fourth assist of the season, tying her with Hauser for the team lead.
Cecilia Quinonez picked up her third straight victory in goal, recording four saves.  Briana Housekeeper and Sam Hobe also saw time defending the net for the Yellow Jackets.  Hunter Gibson took the loss for the WildCats, registering 12 saves on the day.
Randolph-Macon was aggressive throughout play, attacking the entire match.  The women outshot Randolph, 27-4 including a 21-4 advantage in shots on goal.  R-MC also held a 10-1 edge in corner kicks.
 The Yellow Jackets return to action Wednesday, September 28th when they travel to Virginia Beach to take on #12 Virginia Wesleyan.  Both teams sit at the top of the ODAC standings at 3-0.  The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
