FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released its women's soccer preseason coaches' poll for the 2026 fall season and Randolph-Macon has been picked seventh. The Yellow Jackets received 89 points in the voting process.
Second-year head coach Patrick Corbett welcomes a new roster, including two transfers in
Makenna Burnett (Baltimore, Md./St. Timothy's) and
Devyn Pierce (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run).
Number seven nationally ranked Washington and Lee were picked at the top of the standings, following an ODAC title season and NCAA quarterfinals appearance in 2025. The Generals received 12 of the 13 first-place votes to total 144 points. Conference runner-up Batten collected the other first-place vote and 126 points to grab the second spot. Bridgewater took home the third spot in the preseason poll with 119 points.
Lynchburg was seated in the fourth spot with 105 overall points. Shenandoah rounded out the top-five with 103 points and the final team listed at over 100 points.
Roanoke earned 91 points overall in the sixth spot. The Yellow Jackets find themselves closely behind the Maroons with 89 total points, holding the seventh spot.
Guilford (63), Randolph (54) and Eastern Mennonite (49) close out the final three spots in the top ten of the preseason poll.
Averett sits in the 11th spot with 30 points, as Hollins (25) and Sweet Briar (15) close out the last two spots in the preseason poll.
The Yellow Jackets will open the season on Tuesday, September 1, when they host No. 12 nationally ranked Mary Washington with a scheduled start of 6:00 p.m.
