With one on and two out Mitro stepped to the plate and blasted a two run homerun over the wall in the left to tie the game at 6-6.

The Marlins manufactured a run in the ninth after Paskanik led off with a single, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt then scored on a Sutyrk single.

R-MC rallied again in the ninth when Jay Lichter scored on a wild pitch after starting the inning with a single.

After a scoreless tenth inning for both clubs, Virginia Wesleyan pushed across two runs in the 11th on two Randolph-Macon errors and a walk.

The Yellow Jackets could not rally in the bottom half and the Marlins held on for the 9-7 win.
