Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, PA – The Randolph-Macon Field Hockey team
got the first two goals of the game and got key saves from Nicole Woodworth
in the second half as the Yellow Jackets topped Wilson 2-1 in field
hockey action.
R-MC (6-4) scored just six seconds into the contest when Melanie Graham
took a pass from Lauren Seal to put the
Jackets up 1-0.
The game stayed that way through the remainder of the first half
and until the 43:40 mark when Mikalea Rumley
tallied an unassisted to goal to double the R-MC advantage to
2-0.
After Wilson cut the lead to 2-1, Woodworth and the Yellow
Jackets came up with some big defensive stops down the stretch to
preserve the win for R-MC.
Randolph-Macon will be off until Thursday when it takes on
Eastern Mennonite at 7:00 pm.
