Biography

As a junior (2015): Phillips made an appearance on the mound in 17 games for the Yellow Jackets…He pitched a total of 22 innings, tallying 20 strikeouts, finishing with a 3-0 record…Tanner also registered two assists.

As a sophomore (2014): Had 17 appearances on the mound for R-MC...pitched 22.1 innings...recorded two putouts, six assists and no errors...posted a 2-0 record on the season.

As a freshman (2013): Appeared in 17 games on the mound for the Yellow Jackets...pitched 17.0 innings with 12 strikeouts...recorded a season-high two strikeouts against Bridgewater (3/2) and Hampden-Sydney (3/13)...posted a 1-1 record on the season.

Personal: Tanner attended Powhatan High School where he earned three varsity letters in baseball ... He helped lead his team to a District, Regional and State Championship title in 2012 ... While at Powhatan, he was also a member of Powhatan Leftovers (Cancer Fighting Group), Interact Club (Community Service) and was awarded an Academic Letter ... Tanner intends to pursue a degree in Business.
