Biography

As a Junior - 2018:

  • ODAC All-Academic Team
  • Appeared in 14 games for the Yellow Jackets in the 2018 season.
  • In 11.1 innings pitched, compiled a 3.97 ERA
  • Tallied 12 strikeouts on the season

As a Sophomore - 2017:

  • Made 10 appearances out of the bullpen
  • 10 strikeouts in 7.1 innings
  • Fanned 3 in 2 innings vs. RPI
  • Had 2 strikeouts in 1 inning at Ferrum

As a Freshman - 2016:

  • Made 15 appearances on the mound for the Yellow Jackets
  • In 19.2 innings pitched, Solomita recorded 17 strikeouts and 5 assists. 

Personal: Earned two varsity letters in baseball while attending Manchester High School, where he helped lead the Lancers to a Conference 12 Championship his senior year...That same year, Solomita hit a walk-off single to beat Cosby High School and was named a Second Team All-Conference Utility player.

He was a distinguished Honor Roll member in all four years of high school, and he intends to pursue a major in Political Science...Solomita's dad played baseball at Cornell.
