As a junior (2016): In his third season, Schmeer tallied 9 runs, 11 hits, 7 RBI and finished with a .268 batting average. Schmeer also recorded 33 putouts and 38 assists for the Jackets at second base. In the top of the 9th of the NCAA Mideast Regional game vs. Wooster, Schmeer threw out the tying run at the plate to give the Jackets a 2-1 victory (5/19).
As a sophomore (2015): Schmeer played in 34 games, starting 33 of them as a Yellow Jackets infielder…He tallied 122 at bats, 25 runs, 28 hits, and 13 RBI…He also notched 84 putouts and 71 assists in the infield…Jordan sits at third in the ODAC for walks with 24.
As a freshman (2014): In his first season with the Yellow Jackets, Schmeer tallied 73 At Bats, 11 runs, 21 hits, 13 RBI and earned five walks...He tallied 50 putouts and 50 assists...Jordan was named a member of the ODAC All-Academic Team.
Personal: Jordan attended Benedictine where he lettered in baseball, soccer and wrestling...Schmeer was a two-time All-State honoree for wrestling...For baseball, he was an All-State and All-Metro selection, posting a .480 batting average...Schmeer was the team captain for baseball in his senior season and picked up team MVP honors in 2013...He served as Battalion Commander as a senior, the highest ranking cadet in the school...He intends to major in business.
Jordan's father, Jerold Schmeer, played baseball at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
