Chris Corbett is in his first season as an assistant coach at R-MC.

For the past two years, Corbett was an assistant coach and JV head coach at North Carolina Wesleyan College. He worked with the hitters and defensively with the catchers. As JV head coach, Corbett put together a 20-game schedule and made all in-game personnel decisions as well as coached third base.

This past season, the Battling Bishops were 33-10 overall and 17-1 in the USA South. NCWC lost in the final game of the USA South Tournament Championship Series and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Bishops defeated St. John Fisher in the first round before falling to host Marietta and Penn St.-Behrend to end their season.

Corbett played four years of baseball at Rollins College in Florida and was team captain in 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Computer Science in 2017 with a minor in Business Management. Corbett is on track to receive an MBA from NC Wesleyan in December of 2021.

Following his collegiate career, Corbett was selected in the 18th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants. He played in the Giants farm system from 2017 to 2020.
