Randolph-Macon head baseball coach Ray Hedrick has announced the addition of Charlie Fletcher to the Yellow Jacket coaching staff in 2023.

Fletcher will primarily work with the RMC pitchers. He will also assist with recruiting, scouting and practice.

For the past two seasons, Fletcher was an assistant coach at Merrimack College in Andover, Mass. He helped lower the Team ERA by 1.51 runs per game and helped raise the SO/BB ratio by 25%. Fletcher assisted with scouting reports and game plans for opponents, worked camps and tournaments through the summer and fall, and coached a 15U travel baseball team with the New Hampshire Prospects.

Fletcher earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of William and Mary in 2018. He pitched for four years for the Tribe, helping the team win the Colonial Athletic Association title in 2016 and earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Fletcher led the CAA in pitching appearances in three seasons (2016, 2017, 2018). He owns the program record with 105 career appearances.

Following his collegiate career, Fletcher pitched professionally for the Garden City Wind and the White Sands Pupfish in the independent Pecos League.
