Ben Moore enters his first season as a Volunteer Assistant Coachat Randolph-Macon in 2013. Moore is responsiblefor recruiting, academic support, coordination ofcamps/tournaments, as well as on field instruction.
Moore comes to Ashland after coaching various youth baseball,high school, and collegiate summer league baseball programsincluding the Fayetteville Swampdogs in the Coast Plains League.Most recently, Moore was an instructor for RBA West; a youth travelteam and baseball academy that offers private lessons inRichmond's West End.
A native of North Carolina, Moore played four years at NorthCarolina Wesleyan. During his tenure as a Bishop, the pitcher wasnamed to the USA South All-Conference team and receivedRookie-of-the-Year honors, where he helped lead histeam to a Division III College World Series appearance. As ajunior and senior, he received USA South All-Conference, All-SouthRegion, All-State, and USA South All-Academic accolades.
In 2009 Moore set the school's single-season record forleast number of walks per 9 innings (1.08), which ranked 10th inthe country.
Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in businessadministration from NC Wesleyan in 2009.
