Biography

As a senior (’16):  Played in all 11 games for the Yellow Jackets at DE recording 32 total tackles and 6.5 sacks earning him All-ODAC Third Team honors...  In the Yellow Jacket’s loss to Emory & Henry Buchanan recorded two sacks, a forced fumble, and a safety...  In the Yellow Jacket’s win over Washington & Lee Buchanan recorded a season high six tackles. 

As a junior (2015): Appeared in nine out ten games for R-MC in the 2015 season... Buchanan recorded 32 total tackles for the defense... He registered a season best nine tackles in the win over Averett... Buchanan recorded 10.5 tackles for lost, including one sack, for a total of 29 yards.

As a junior (2014): Appeared in nine out of ten games for the Yellow Jackets. Buchanan registered twelve total tackles for the RMC defense. Five of those came in an away contest at Washington and Lee, which included two tackles for a total loss of ten yards. Buchanan had three total tackles in a home win over Sewanee on September 20th.

In High School: Earned two varsity letters in football, basketball and lacrosse at Brunswick High School … helped lead his football team to a Regional Championship in 2010 … earned Mention All-Conference Honors and Honorable Mention All-Area Honors … was named Team Captain … member of the National Honor Society.
