Biography

As a junior (2014): Byrd started all ten games for the Yellow Jackets and finished second overall in the ODAC in rushing yards with 1,162. Byrd averaged 5.3 yards per carry on the season and rushed for an average of 116.2 yards per game. He found the endzone 10 times on the year and carried the ball for a total of 218 times. In a home win over Catholic, Byrd rushed for 2 touchdowns and 185 yards, which included a season-long 68 yard rush from scrimmage. In an away win over Shenandoah, he carried the ball 33 times for a total of 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. Byrd rushed for over 100 yards in six out of the ten games in 2014, and he also recorded 10 total catches for 120 receiving yards. Against Guilford on October 25th, Byrd caught 4 passes for 31 yards.

In High School: Lettered all four years in football at Manassas Park … earned District Player of The Year Honors twice … earned All-Region Honors twice.
