CARY, N.C. – Randolph-Macon Men's Soccer traveled to William Peace for game two of its three-game road trip. The Yellow Jackets used a strong opening in the second half to earn a 3-2 win on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
- In the fifth minute, Gabriel Faria Jr. opened the scoring for the Pacers, assisted by Chris Rodriguez, with a shot toward the top left of the goal.
- 10 minutes later, the Pacers doubled their lead on a shot from Joey Hurley, assisted by Gabriel Faria Jr.
- In the 30th minute of the match, Barrett Wilson (Lexington, S.C./Lexington) buried a shot low left, beating Dallas Story to cut the WPU lead to one on an assist from Keanan Kopp (Blacksburg, Va./Blacksburg).
- The Yellow Jackets kept pressing; Rylan Sumner (Richmond, Va./J.R. Tucker) scored the equalizer three minutes before the break, making it 2-2 heading into halftime.
- Coming out of the break, RMC kept its foot on the gas and added its third goal of the afternoon. Charis Tchatat (Doula, Cameroon/Albert Einstein) sent a strike on frame, giving the Yellow Jackets their first lead of the match.
- In the 70th minute of the match, the Lemon and Black threatened with another scoring opportunity on back-to-back shots from Jayden Walker (Suffolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and Tyler Oakes (Nottingham, England/Toothill School) but each shot was pushed away by the Pacers' keeper Story.
- Jadon Hawker (Danville, Va./Tunstall) and Casey Royle (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) continued to be difference makers in the midfield, controlling the flow of the game and the Yellow Jackets held onto the 3-2 lead thanks to outstanding backline play from Quinn Conlan (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding), grabbing the win.

- Wilson, Tchatat and Sumner led the charge for the Yellow Jackets, netting the three goals.
- Sumner and Tchatat tallied their first goals of the season. This was also Sumner's first goal of his collegiate career.
- Damien Jackson and Kopp each recorded an assist in the contest.
- RMC outshot WPU 12-to-11 overall and nine-to-five in shots on frame.
- The Pacers had more opportunities to cash in on set pieces, recording eight corners to the Lemon and Black's five.
