BUENA VISTA, Va. – Randolph-Macon Men's Soccer traveled to Southern Virginia to kick off a three-game road stretch. The Yellow Jackets ended the match in a 1-1 draw after they regulated the offensive side of the pitch.

How it Happened
- In the first 17 minutes of the match, Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) sent a strike towards the lower left portion of the goal but it was saved by Southern Virginia and the match remained level.
- Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) sent another shot on goal in the 30th minute but the Knights' keeper Isaac Northcutt made a save.
- The two teams traded possessions the rest of the half and both teams entered the break knotted at zero.
- Coming out of the break, the Lemon and Black continued to press the attack with shots from Tillman Johnson (Edgewater, Md./South River) and Barrett Wilson (Lexington, S.C./Lexington) in the 55th minute.
- Four minutes later, Davian Jackson gave RMC the advantage on a free kick opportunity where he buried the shot on the ground, beating the SVU keeper.
- In the 67th minute, the Knights leveled the match once again. Gavin Young slotted a pass from Ian Brinkerhoff and Josh Woffiden, making the match 1-1.
- The two teams searched for a chance to grab the lead, with each team trading opportunities. Both teams held firm defensively and the match finished in a 1-1 draw.
